The special-edition 2026 Isuzu MU-X Tour Mate has been confirmed for Australian showrooms, following the introduction of the Tour Mate package on the related Isuzu D-Max ute last year.
Based on the high-spec LS-T 4×4 version of the popular large off-road SUV lineup, the MU-X Tour Mate adds touring and towing equipment to the 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel model for $79,990 drive-away, $6550 more than the LST’s regular price before on-road costs.
That makes it $5000 more expensive than the mid-range Ford Everest Sport, which has a 2.0-litre Bi-Turbo diesel engine, and marginally pricier than the entry-level Toyota Prado GX priced at $78,500 drive-away.

Isuzu Ute Australia claims the added equipment is valued at $9000 retail and, combined with the drive-away pricing, it says this equates to a saving of $7600 compared to an LS-T with the same options.
The extra gear is headlines by a satin-black steel bull bar with integrated parking sensors and fog lights, and a tow bar kit comprising a 50mm tow ball, 12-pin flat wiring harness, and electronic brake controller.
A rear cargo liner, front and rear weather shields, rubber floor mats, and wireless phone charging have also been added.
The 25.5MY MU-X Tour Mate is available now in seven exterior paint colours including Mercury Silver, Moonstone White Pearl, Mineral White, Obsidian Grey, Magnetic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Basalt Black.

The Tour Mate carries over LS-T 4×4 gear including 20-inch alloy wheels, a rear differential lock, and all-terrain mode, and there are no changes to the 140kW/450Nm 3.0-litre turbo-diesel and six-speed automatic, which continue to offer a 3500kg braked towing capacity.
Inside, the cabin includes heated front seats with leather upholstery, a 9.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with 360-degree surround view monitor, built-in sat nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and eight-speaker audio.
The MU-X continues to be Australia’s third most popular large SUV behind the Prado and Everest. In 2024, Isuzu introduced the D-Max Tour Mate dual-cab ute in two model grades: the LS-U Tour Mate priced from $69,990 drive-away, and the D-Max LS-U+ starting at $72,990 drive-away.
